A very awesome art concept, taking place in NY, at the temporary Richard Chai retail installation, pairs designer Richard Chai & Snarkitecture in the next stage of the building fashion series under the Highline of HL23. Building fashion pairs designers with architects and explores “the intersection of architecture and fashion through integrated store and exhibition design”.
In Richard Chai’s recent go, single form material shapes the “glacial cavern” beneath the highline. Integrated into the actual form: shelves, hangbars, and nooks/niches. The erosions formed and cultivated by hand evokes within the customer a feeling of style in the great white North.
A unqiue idea that utilizes forgone space in an attempt to continue to grow the fashion industry. To see more check out the building fashion website here
